Fahrenheight Nova Excellent taste of extremely well-performed prog-metal on this EP. As alluring as the music itself is, the centerpiece on this buffet of brilliance falls on the shoulders of the talented vocalist. Seriously, she has one of the best ranges of vocal styles I've ever heard not just from a female singer, but from all singers everywhere. Highly recommended, and I can't wait for a full release. I have no doubt it will blow this already near-perfect sampling away. Favorite track: Shards - Pt II: Shadow.
Spear

Spear Sounds very much like a female-fronted Symphony X, but- and I don't say this lightly- Noa is a much more interesting vocalist than Russel Allen. If you are even a fringe fan of power-prog, you do yourself a disservice by not owning this album. Favorite track: Shards - Pt I: Birds.
Hyllis

Hyllis The whole band is amazing, but the singer is just outstanding.
This is clearly the most impressive vocals I ever heard, and melody parts are also close to it.
You really don't want to miss that band. Favorite track: Tantibus.

What lies beyond the door? Sights that I have seen before Urges I've been searching for Can't reach them anymore And birds outside my window Shards of childhood memories Through the window on the wall I look down, afraid to fall The shadow lays there tall Scared I'll lose my soul And birds outside my window Shards of childhood memories Though I still wait for gravity to stop and set me free I remember my mother's tears as she wept upon my bed My child, she said to me, trouble lies ahead Now that voice starts to dissipate, so hard to recognize A silluohette of what once was dims before my weary eyes And a voice calls to me from inside MUST I LIVE THIS MISERABLE LIFE? Mockingbird sings my lullaby and then flies to another land Leaving me with teardrops and feathers in my hand I see the sun and the ocean far away and shining bright And make them a promise that someday I will take my flight And a voice calls to me from inside MUST I LIVE THIS MISERABLE LIFE? Who's that tapping on my door? Just a shadow on the floor Where are you? I implore Can't sense my soul no more And birds outside my window Shards of fading memories Yet I still wait for gravity to stop and set me free

EDGE OF INSANITY MERGING REALITY DRIFTING HUMANITY THE SIN OF VANITY SHATTERED DUALITY (Preparing to fall) VERGE OF BRUTALITY UNFOLDING TRAVESTY THE GREAT CALAMITY (I'm losing control) EDGE OF INSANITY (Eyes rise towards the sky) SHARDS OF REALITY DENOUNCING GRAVITY (My final goodbye) THE SIN OF VANITY Shadow, oh shadow, I finally hear A voice once forgotten now crystal clear Memories of grief are lies I deny Now I see us both try Shadow, oh shaodow, perhaps I was wrong The means for my dream were here all along Please teach me how birds fly because I Can see us both Conquer the sky and rise Into a dream Up to the challenge And though it may seem Impossible, I know it's plausible That we will fly (run away) a (pave a way) way (fly away) (far away) On to the open sea Where we belong When the wind takes us higher We're hovering above it all Through the velvet clouds Rising towards the sun Hearts drawn to the distance Deceiving victory EDGE OF INSANITY (Preparing to fall) MERGING REALITY DRIFTING HUMANITY (I'm losing control) THE SIN OF VANITY SHATTERED DUALITY (Eyes rise towards the sky) VERGE OF BRUTALITY UNFOLDING TRAVESTY (My final goodbye) THE GREAT CALAMITY Shadow, oh shadow, I must not fear Our path is unclear, dawn's hour draws near The haven of darkness will soon disappear, Yet a voice still says Cloudy nights shelter frail wings from the sun Under the moon dreams can still carry on Oceans of sunlight await you tomorrow so fly (hold on tight) to (fear the light) night (take your flight) (to the night) On to the open sea Where we belong When the wind takes us higher We're hovering above it all Through the velvet clouds Rising towards the sun Hearts drawn to the distance Deceiving victory SHATTERED DUALITY (Preparing to fall) VERGE OF BRUTALITY UNFOLDING TRAVESTY (I'm losing control) THE GREAT CALAMITY EDGE OF INSANITY (Eyes rise towards the sky) SHARDS OF REALITY DENOUNCING GRAVITY (My final goodbye) THE SIN OF VANITY The sights you wish to see Having, loving, running free Everything you wish could Become reality The birds outside your window Never wait for gravity

I wait for gravity to show me how I cannot move There are some secrets to the voice that I hear in my head... I dream to reach the stars, but honestly I cannot prove That I can fly Afraid of heights I wait for the sun I WAIT FOR THE SUN TO BURN MY PRECIOUS WINGS For I won't fly at night WASHING AWAY MY DREAMS WITH THE TIDES In feathers and wax I reach for the skies SECRETLY HOPING TO BURN AND DIE For failure is not an option OH, WHY WOULD I DARE TO TRY? We waited for this day so long that our minds have gone Beyond the towering skies beneath our dreaded home Stumbling on ivory dreams, delusional fantasies where we fly on... On to the open fields Where they belong Hearts drawn to the distance Minds lost in misery Afraid of heights I wait for the sun I WAIT FOR THE SUN TO BURN MY PRECIOUS WINGS For I won't fly at night WASHING AWAY MY DREAMS WITH THE TIDES In feathers and wax I reach for the skies SECRETLY HOPING TO DROWN AND DIE For failure is not an option Let the winds take you high Lift your eyes to the sky And though dawn will come soon You can still touch the moon
